An internationally renowned University houses a new environmentally friendly building specifically developed for the Zukerman Institute for Connective Environmental Research (ZICER). They found that performing routine cleaning and maintenance operations to the roof area posed an access problem.

Solution
The ‘ZICER’ building is fitted with solar panels and roof lights which require regular maintenance. The university’s consultant contacted Metreel to assist with this problem and provide a suitable system that allowed safe access both vertically and horizontally.
The use of Metreel’s Laddertrack® and Fallguard® systems were offered as a solution which would provide the required access to both the solar panels and roof lights whilst providing complete operator safety.
Using both vertical and horizontal fall protection equipment the operator is able to access the complete roof area.
Provided with manual storm brakes to avoid any movement during use and when parked, the platform is capable of supporting two men with tools.
